Don't know how far I'll go with it, I'm mainly using the Nats as a motivation to finish it. And it's kind of a club deal too as a few of us are taking 1/12 F1 subjects.

I made it years ago and did close off all the unwanted holes, but I screwed up the nose cose by trying to paint the yellow part, which became asymetrical and was one continuing stripe, whereas the racing number has to sit in a totally green "island". I have a spare one sitting around but really don't know whether I am going to build it again

    I like it.

But yeah, the pipes are a bit different.

ok, I guess the model making companies don't make 1/18 scale build your own models, danm thats all my collection is. Well my collection is 1/18 scale but I didn't build em they are prebuilt and ready to buy. You might be able to call that cheating for your models but I'm not the only one.

All the different scales in the modeling world is a disaster, no rhyme or reason to the many scales. Never understood why 1/18 ended up being the popular size for diecast, there are no plastic models in that scale that I know of except for three old Tamiya kits.

    Plastic kits are generally 1/43, 1/24, 1/20, 1/16, 1/12, 1/18.

That doesn't even cover them all, there are less significant models which have been made in 1/28 and 1/32.
