There can be confusion as Stanguellini and Bandini's were regularly supplied and converted to different engines. The pic above is a Stanguellini with the Bialbero engine. Coudl it have been that ?

I can't find any reference of Bandini specifically producing a Balbieri engined car himself. Could have been "uprated" by the customer - especially if going overseas.

If you wanted more pics and info to confirm/deny the existence of a BB it looks like his nephew is running the register of chassis so you could contact him directly !!

Maybe if you psot the link to the pic you have found, it might be obcious if it's a 750 with a customer engine.

rest assured that the UCP pic is not a model, I personally took the picture from the real car which was shown in Autotron near Den Bosch in the Netherlands, in 1997 or 1998 (don't remember exactly). It is a very beautiful machine, and I still regret that I took only one picture.

This is a car which was put on the page in it's infant years, nowadays such pic would be considered totally unacceptable. There are lots more interesting cars waiting of which unfortunately only "low-res" pics are available.

I am afraid I was not keen enough to collect the specs there and then. I don't think it ever raced, it is a one-off.

Bialbero means Double cam shaft and all Bandini engines are Bialbero.
correct name of this car is "Bandini Saloncino".

now here is an odd one, the plate says Bandini Saponetta, Chasssis #169, built 1953. Now according to Wikipedia, Saponettas only entered production in 1957. The engine was shown outside of the car.

I got a list of all Bandini chassis, which is far from complete, but does not contain the chassis number of the "1953" car. Many cars apparently have been reconstructed also.
