they shouldnt do it. they got enough heat with the cayenne, i dont want em spoiling their imagge by producing a RX8ish looking car. but it can be done right, it just needs to back itself up with incredible perfromance. as long as theyre not trying to build a cheap car to appeal to a wider demographic, then they should go for it.

The Cayane was bad enough, I really hope that's the only 4 door Porsche ever makes.

yeah guys, of COURSE porsche would reduce their million-dollar sports car to a family sedan, and naturally in the average Nissan Maxima price range i suppose? keep DREAMING porsche would never sink this low, and damn right its a chop! if it were a 911, id almost buy your story. better luck next time...

"artists impressions" and chops of a four door Porsche have been appearing during the last ten years or so. It seems that Porsche for a long time is having such plans, but always on the backburner. The success of the Maserati QP may give them some directions however.

its your opinion , but i thin it is just plain ugly, ugly, ugly chop( both technically and astetically)(sorry for the terrible spelling). as henk4 said, rumors of a porsche 4 door car has been very present the last few years... it eould not be a bad idea, as long as the performance is there, but the QP is a bad example. too big too clumsy.
I am far more interested in what i saw a few months back on Road & Track magazine, they had a pic of a upcoming boxter coupe and boxter turbo. They were computered generated images of course but they looked pretty awsome. and i know to trust R&T. i remember seeing in its pages back in 1998 a computer genrated image of a "porsche suv" and thinking... NAH theyll never make it. R&T is a very reliable source for info, and this boxter coupe talk has made me very exited.
Also I have heard rumors of porsche planing a performance GT to compete withe the 575M, a sequel to the 944 maybe? now THAT would be anj exiting car... a modern front engined porsche....

More info and some pics here at automotorundsport.de

Engines: Cayenne V8 and possibly the awesome CGT V10 as well. Pricing: >220K Euros.

The 4-door pic's a profile view of the concept above and then there is the GT Coupe to compete with likes of 575M.

I hope these concepts were dropped for good. They take the 911's unique shape and really uglify.

yeah, they shouldn't mess up with the 911! porsche is better as a sport car, not a luxuryliner. i dont like the cayenne too! the vw touareg is much better.
