Nobody ever, ever ever, ever seriously considersMazda Miatas.. Mx3's. They handle better than most (and I do mean that across every car and price range) cars out there..
Having said that I still won't seriously rate them so that kinda proves my point doesn't it?

I don't think the Lotus Elise is under-rated really. I think it is just not getting attention, but is getting every bit of praise it deserves when it does have that attaention.

Honda NSX. It's old but still can go toe to toe with other supercars.

The Toyota Corolla AE86 Trueno/Levin!!!! Although they can't go fast in straightaways, they're one of the best handling cars on Earth!!!

Ford Pinto. Yeah, that's right. In a weekend you can have a 2.3 Turbo motor in there, and be ripping 13 second 1/4 miles with a few cheap mods. You could conceivably be doing all this for $5.000 all told, probably less.

    Panoz Esperante GTS

Last time I checked, the GTS ran in the GT1 class in ALM races, and lacked about 23 seconds off the Mustang at the front of the class. That doesn't mean it's a bad car, though, I don't think many more companies have gotten this much praise for a car. Panoz has been pushing ALM to instate a GTS all Panoz class-I don't know if it ever happened. It's basically like putting a Morris Mini in the same class as an Enzo. The Enzo'll win, no doubt, but that doesn't mean the Mini isn't bad.

before initial d, it was the toyota corolla trueno. then it became overrated.
anyway, the Subaru Legacy sedan is underrated because of its design that people ignore its performance ratings.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
