that sucks.. and i heard that this will be the last installment for ps2! that gt5 will be on the "new" ps system.. ps3?
I remember when this game was supposed to come out last May!! now its all the way till next year! I am pissed and hope that they put the online play now that they have another 4 months to work on it..

They had problems finalizing the game code for regional differences. This comes after the final game code went gold. So basically, they threw the party before they should have. Now the world is pissed.

ps3 system? Does anyone know what the "release" date for that is. It will probally take them 8 to 10 months extra to release that too.

PS3 will be debuted at E3 in spring 05. Shortly after that, all the developers will have the design kits from Sony. Most of them already have at least a general idea of what PS3 will have.
It'd be best for Sony to get PS3 out in early December of next year for obvious financial reasons in the States. But that might be too optimistic, as no one has even seen a prototype or know anything about it, other than it will use Blu-Ray disks (50gb).

Well, if the PS3 comes out, at least it will be backwards compatable and play PS2 games. But, I'm also wondering if they may have gotten more cars or, who knows, maybe they convinced the manufactures who opposed crash damage. I'm honestly hoping more for the latter, you can only truely learn if you screw up a few times.

Rights to Lamborghini and Ferrari are up. Yamauchi went to them to early. If he had waited about 2-3 more months he could have got them.

Wait for GT5. It's one of the new things they will be implementing.
The game went gold. The problem is it's taking longer to translate the game code into PAL and NTSC formats. There won't be any 'last minute' additions.
