With the Ferrari 488 Pista, the rich tradition of the hard-core road cars in the same vain as the 360 Challenge Stradale, 430 Scuderia and 458 Speciale that came before. Compared to the 488 GTB it is based on, the new 488 Pista is lighter, more powerful and features a more aggressive aerodynamics package.
One of its rivals is the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS. This 520hp hardcore version of the Type 991 II should be one of the final versions of the current generation 911.
Lotus, meanwhile, have revealed a more powerful version of the their track-day special in the form of the 3-Eleven 430. As the name suggests, it is powered by the 430 bhp version of the Toyota-based, supercharged V6 engine. Production of the achingly fast 3-Eleven 430 is strictly limited to 20 examples.
At the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, Morgan will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the popular Plus 8 model with this 50th Anniversary model. Fittingly, only 50 examples will be built.
With the Renault R.S. 18 and Sauber C37 Ferrari revealed yesterday, the launch of 2018 Formula 1 continues. They will hit the track on Monday during the first of the two official tests at Barcelona.
