    I like it because it's different. That, and it resembles the VAG color Jazz Blue/Nogaro Blue.

    as far as I know, the owner had it painted "Bugatti Blue" because he liked the color so much... that's the story I've heard from a person that met the owner...

    EDIT: they all left the factory painted Rosso Corsa (red)

    Mmmmmm-no. Probably the first F40 that I didn't like. It just looks odd in blue.

    I don't want to doubt from a big Ferrari fan, but are you sure of that?
    What I always heard and read was that anyone who wanted them painted originally in another color had to pay a stupid amount of money. Something like 30% more than the basic price.

    looks pretty good to me, probably because the paint is better quality than the original coat

    I'm sure... they were all painted red when they left the factory. Some were painted other colors, the Sultan's cars were done by Pininfarina (from what few details are known) and the LM/GT/GTE F40's were done by Micholetto (sp?)
