    Hummer finally goes chinese

Hummer has today been sold for 150 mln US$ to the Tengzhong company. As they are not producing any vehicles right, the Hummer production facilities in the will be rented out to the Chinese. I wonder how American automakers will foster under Chinese management and how the UAW will deal with this new player.

I assume that the deal included 'grandfathering' the UAW contracts, and that Tengzhong must honor them for a period of time. Most likely they will leave well enough alone for a while; at least until a better way emerges.

One of the reasons I broke up with my last girlfriend was because she loved Hummers (the car - get your mind out of the gutter), I wonder how she'll feel about this?

No, I'm not kidding. I actually had to talk her out of trading her Mercedes in for a Hummer. Hence EX-girlfriend.

Good riddance to Hummer. I'm pretty happy about it.

Honestly, the Chinese will go, what the hell is a union...?

With labor so cheap there, I wouldn't be surprised if they phase out labor in the US eventually.

    Don't worry about it!
I don't think Tengzhong will make original Hummer!
    Don't you think it will make a mini Hummer - 1000cc to 2000cc ??!!!

They haven't made the original hummer for a while anyways. This H2 and H3 crap was doomed from the start, for many, many reasons. But still, no one would buy a 1000cc or 2000cc hummer since it defeats the purpose.

Yeah, I tried that at an environmental rally, but incredibly hot women still aren't interested in me. And the only small displacement hummer that will ever sell is this.

Till now, many people in China like Hummer. Especially the singers and film stars!
It is difficult to see H1 in China, so many H2 and H3!
