Speed will have 18 hours but that breaks down to about 9 or less with commercials filling up 40 min per hour.......

And I can be so lucky to watch Le Mans full coverage with only a 3-hour rest for a speedway Danish GP (I'm 90% sure there will be a second, small screen showing the Le Mans race during the live translation of speedway races).

P.S. An interesting view at the forthcoming event is here:

They are technically showing the race flag to flag if you use the Internet, as you can watch their TV-style coverage online during the hours thats off-air....Between that, Radio Le Mans, and live-timing you can catch the whole race with information overload....

speed is a lot better than other channels. for one, no one would devote that much time to a single race, and second, compare when they show races to when races are shown on different channels, F1 is a good example, but so is NASCAR, they show quite a few less commercials.

Its curious they didn't run it at Sebring...

The front "Wing" on the R15...which is a use of the symmetric wing profile by Audi, but run at some angle of attack. Mike Fuller at Mulsanne's Corner rightly pointed out that it was done before(quite obviously too) on RS Spyder. ACO's rule stipulate that you can't use something with airfoil profile on the car aside from the rear wing but you can have bodywork with symmetrical wing profile and that was what Audi did...

Could someone elaborate on subject of LMP2 Lola coupes, please? Both RML and Dyson call their coupes B09/86, so does the official Lola website. But they are often called B08/86 also, like a year ago. Is it a slightly new modification of B08/86 or do they just call B09/86 the cars assembled for a new season? Or maybe something else? Thanks.

Thank you, but that's regarding LMP1 cars, while in LMP2 the B09's, both for Dyson and RML, carry Mazda engines.

EDIT: Stupid me, the RML website has an answer, which I didn't read up to the end

Quote:
When first delivered to RML, the chassis was designated a B08/80. However, concurrent with the installation of the new Mazda engine, the car also benefited from the implementation of the full 2009 specification aerodynamic package and revised bodywork. This had been developed by Lola in Huntingdon in response to changes in the racing regulations between 2008 and 2009, including the reduction in width of the rear wing. As a result the car is now officially designated as a Lola Mazda B09/86, the eighty-six being used by Lola to identify any Mazda-powered chassis.
