    just a thought...

you may want to add some info about each respective car so people can actually make an educated decsision rather than one just based on the cars appearence...

personally i prefer the holden. its the 1st AWD performance car to be produced by HSV so it will be interesting to see how it performs...

i cant choose, both cars a great for the local market and the local enthusiasts, but theyre not similar enough for me to choose one over the other. if pushed i'f probably choose the Coupe4 as the better car as the Typhoon is just an enhanced XR6T and the Coupe4 is the first of many low ride height performance AWD's from the locals. I would buy the Typhoon first though

    i would like to think

i would like to think that the AWD would have it, BUT as its holden's first real attempt at a sports awd i dont think that it would preform so well. plus the typhoon looks better

    adventura?

the adventura? i dont consider that a sports AWD....

i mean, it IS awd etc, but just isnt sporty as you said in " are the WRX and evo" etc etc etc thread!

dosent classify as sporting! lol... i dont think holden have the AWD expertice in the feild, if ford made a AWD v8 im sure it would be good, they have the focus and rally history etc..

well i believe ford are in a better position to do AWD as its only an 80kg weight gain as seen on the territory, but Holden have about a 150kg weight gain between the GTO Coupe and Coupe4.

both companies have little large car AWD experience, so theyre in the same ballpark. Fords advantage in AWD is little as al that ford europe can provide and all the tricks Prodrive learn from their subaru WRC team cant exactly be transfered straight to the Falcon

i guess, but its still there.

the problem remains, the holden is ugly!
hahahah! but the ford just looks like anyother ford on the road from that shot, except from the paint job :P lol....

Well based on price the typhoon will no doubt undercut this car by many tens of thousands...its going tobe cheaper then the GT where the coupe 4s is estimated at 95,000....also the coupe 4 is only offerd in automatic which hampers its performance and is most certianly not my prefernece....And on another turn holdens Cross track AWD is notoverly suited forsporting conditions not offering diffrent driver to all wheels it just splits the tourqe from front to back (still offering better controll then the Typhoon in theory...but in the right conditions it could easily go pear shaped like a jeep cherokee and essentially turn into a fwd....unlikely but possible)
Also the coupe 4s 1/4 mile times are quoted at 14.3 seconds...and holden are prone to over exaguration...look at the Avalanche nearly a full second slower then its quoted time...where the Normal XR6Ts are tested by an independent in that vecinty....do what ever math you will but i know where my alegences lay....also with the Typhoon you also get the drivers training and a freesubscription to BLUEPRINT the official FPV vehicals magazine....and probably cheaper insurance due to the smaller capacity and smaller price tag....as i said i know what i want here.....

Holden HSV should have held back on the coupe 4, Wait for the new v6, Turbo or supercharge it, V6 supercharge would put out 220-240kw on the new V6, In the AWD Coupe 4 that would be sweet, And a little cheaper also

Holden wouldnt be one to develop a version of the HFV6 for their own use, so that rules out a supercharged version. Not only that but turbo is more efficient and i think GMare buildin a twin turbo version for Alfa Romeo and Saab
