well if he was really misrepresented and he needs to prove to us that he's a good member.. then let him be a new member... and watch his behaviour.. dont give him the power, seriously this idea is stupid.

In order to give trust, you must first recieve it.

We need to trust him, before he can trust us.

By giving him some authority, he can prove himself worthy of our trust.

i just dont get it... why the hell would u give an immature and annoying 12 year old the power of editing people's posts? sure some of the guys (the bullies) were very cruel to him but u gotta admit that karrman was sometimes a bit of a pain in the ass with his non stop spamming and useless "karmann's blah blah blah..." threads.

what about some new members-theyle start a new thread(their first) and you guys are always dissing them out and saying "watch your mouth here on UCP"- well karrman has always had (from what i know) that kind of a personality and you want to give him a second chance when you dont give new members a first chance?

They're obviously joking. Click the bottom right of your screen if you're on Windows and look at the computer calendar. Then look at the posts of the mods. If this happens, you can quote me and flame my arse for however long you want, but until then, I'll by the cynic.

New members will continue to be "guided" as before.

The problem we have had is the time and effort as mods it took for us to "guide" the perpetrators of the "abuse karrmann in all threads".

It was reviewed and we are trying a differnet approach as the mods here dont' ahve the time to go round reminding everyeon to be good citizens.

It's hoped that by devolving power that Karrmann can control the situation himslef and delete others posts or edit them if needs be and in a few selct cases be allowed to ban memebers - but Frank is makin git that he can't ban for more than one day.

Hopefully this devolution of power will be as successful in UCP as it has for Scotland within the UK and we can see a better way forward. if it DOES work out well there may well be a few others who would be granted this "privelage" - Fleet500 and UCR.
