XBL story.

There's about 5 or 6 of us in this room. We're about to do S and U class cars on Mugello or whatever it's called. They pull out their sick whips- Enzos, Murcielagos, Koeninegegiegneigneingeings, swapped Porsches. Me? I get my trusty Jazz Blue CoR32rado. We're sitting on the starting line and there's a quick conversation that goes like this:

Dude 1: Hey, Quiziggs, what is that?
Me: It's a Corrado.
Dude 2: A what?
Me: <silent annoyance>

The competition is sitting there revving their engines. I'm just chilling, holding it at about 2500revs. The lights start counting down. 3...2...1... I lay into the throttle trigger. GREEN! CoR32rado launches at about 5500revs, all 4 tires grab the pavement, and I'm off. It takes about 3 seconds to go from 4th to the lead, as the lesser Enzos and such sit there spinning their tires.

Dude 3: What the ****, that thing is ****ing fast!

Anybody have Forza 2 crash their 360 yet?

MICROSOFT has mysteriously deleted a long thread on one of its user groups where a claim that the Forza 2 game crashes its XBox 360.

The thread in Forzamotorsport.net was talking about fairly widespread claims that Forza 2 is causing Xbox 360 units to crash. Some of the reports claimed that the game could actually kill the Xbox deader than a Dodo.

At the time the thread was deleted there were more than 900 posts detailing user problems. Initially Microsoft published that the thread was "exclusive content for registered forum users” only, but the thread was deleted for those who were registered as well.

I But i only drift if im just playin around. Most of the time im pretty good at pushing it to the edge of breaking traction and keeping it there. Hopefully my Corvette will be more of a match than whatever I was sportin in FM1.

I only play around and quiggs will tell you its true. still i am not that far off him and clutch (except for when he breaks out the corrado.. that was mental..)

i think i lost by half a lap on a three lap race..

still, i have my fun.

I've been playing this game for a while now and I think it's time to express my opinions regarding it.

Overall it's amazing, but I've found that it's too easy - straight from the start. Granted I'm not a noob when it comes to racing, but I was quite amazed (and saddened) that I was pulling away from the pack from the first races on, even on tracks I didn't know. I didn't have the best car on the grid by any means and all difficulty settings as high as they go. As the cars get faster the competition gets tougher but in the mean time you learn the tracks better. I don't feel like running a conciderably worse car just to get a challenge.

Luckily I know that worthy competitors are always found on XBL.

Having the highest difficulty setting earns you more money too. Too much in my opinion, I have a few 100k just lying around and there's plenty more to come. I don't want to buy new cars as I try to at least finish one race with the ones I have, and I still have plenty of unused ones in my garage.

Which brings me the next subject; The price cars. As I read in this thread there are diveded opinions on them but I haven't been impressed. Why do I have several different factory riced versions of Civic's, Integra's, Supra's, Skyline's, Evo's, MR2's & Corvette's? If they were stock I would appreciate them. On the other hand there has been some positive surprises as well. This of course is a matter of taste. I reckon that picking another region would only have made it worse.

In short

- factory rice
- too easy
- too easy to earn money

+ amazing gameplay
+ sounds amazing
+ customization options
+ overall well done
...and pretty much everything else

From the perspective of a car enthusiast this game is a must have and I hope to see as many of you as possible on XBL once I've played the single player sufficiently.

I agree completely. Can't be arsed with online gaming. Offline gaming ftw.

That's what I said until I tried PGR2 on XBL, have been hooked on the thrill of racing real people since.

Who needs a soundtrack when you can listen to the wonderful notes of a VR6 at 7000rpm or a Ferrari V8 with Tubi exhaust?

Agreed, my game automatically had the music turned off for the races... but there is still the menues, so far the music hasn't annoyed me = +
