IQ is kind of odd looking too...better than the Smart. To be honest, I know nothing about it, though...time to research.

Only killer is in US they only come with CVT...

Hmm...yeah, I'll take the iQ over the Smart. CVT is kind of a bummer, but then again, what else is new in the 'States. People don't buy manuals here anymore.

Those are not seats. Only deappendaged young children can fit in the back.
They fold down, like in most hatchbacks. The point is not having to use them everyday, but rather being there in case you need them.

Indeed. It is quite expensive though as well. The only problem I see with it is that it is very limited; it only does one thing and in Europe this job is mostly done by public transport. I'm sure it can also go outside the city but I'd rather have a Yaris for that.

Another clever city car is (was?) the Mitsubishi i.

Why not get an Aston Martin Cygnet?

I wonder if you can be serviced if you pull up to a Toyota dealership in a Cygnet.

I'd rather have a Miata with a Prius drivetrain.

That earned EVO's Turkey of the Year Award a while back, IIRC. I'm not sure what it really accomplishes since it's not really an Aston Martin. It even has louvers on the hood... Zoooooooooooooooooom!!!

It accomplishes having low enough average emissions to continue making the V12s.

Or something.

I can see that. Chrysler put the PT Cruiser into production because it counted as a truck in the US fuel economy standards. It let them cheat their way out of a fine, because their trucks were well behind the competition's FE numbers.

Is the Ferrer syndrome going around?

I'm a trend-setting person. Me, who thinks that cool-hunter is someone looking for an air conditioning device in a store. Feels weird.

I would personally prefer a manual gearbox in my two seater, rear wheel drive sportscar.
