Hello and welcome to UCP, as these forums have members from all over the world we try to keep English as the lingua franca around here, that way it's easier for everyone to understand each other.

    For the UK viewers.

The repeat is on ITV1 now.

I'm getting angry at adverts interrupting the race every 10 minutes. Not happy in the slightest.

McLaren ordered the Super Aguris to get in the way of Hamilton?

Alex Wurz's head seems to be quite lucky to be attached to the rest of him.

    Booooring race though.

Another Boooooring F1 season ahead, yay!

Indeed. The undertray of the RBR must've been less than a foot away from connecting with Wurz's head...

I quite agree. It's ridiculous to write off a whole season after just one race, which in truth wasn't that bad anyway.

Yes, but there are still just the 2 compounds at each individual event. It still doesn't explain why they can't mark the softer of the 2 compounds in a way that is recognisable by the fans. As the Massa situation highlights it was still a little unclear as to who was on what tyre even watching on the television, what hope is there for the fans at trackside? It just seems like a relatively simple solution to the problem, I can't see any major obstacle to them doing it.

Perhaps the 3 seconds shorter pitstop made a difference as well? All I'm saying is that it wouldn't have happened the other way around and that's for sure.

BMW surprised me a great deal. I anticipated them being stronger this season, but not by this much. Sure, it's just one race in, but if this is any indication of things to come it's going to be one very interesting F1 season.

Guess I was completely wrong about Button taking the crown this year as well... Oh well.

    To Pando:
The Alonso pitstop was 1.5seconds shorter than Hamiltons. Also, Sato not getting out of the way meant Hamilton lost the 1.5seconds he had on Alonso before his pitstop.

Also agree that Wurz is very lucky, i was crapping myself when i saw that, it's one of them moments which send a shiver down your spine.

They could cover them in a dome?

Yes, but considering how difficult it was for Massa to get past the considerably slower Hondas, there will be no overtaking.

Not knowing the final table standings is not sufficient to qualify as "excitement".

I stayed up to watch the qualifying live, noticed V8 supercars was on and watched that instead; it was more interesting than both the F1 qualifying I missed, and the race I didn't.

Agreed and imo the last A1 GP I saw also delivered a more entertaining race, albeit with less hype
