Merkur?? What the heck is that?
Edit: Oh, found it. It's just a rebadged Ford Sierra. What's so "cult" about it?

It's not denial. I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.
So, what's with the poll then? And it's missing the 2000s...
My appointed car is the RUF CTR a.k.a. yellow bird.
Old school: It's a 911 with an air cooled engine. Need say more?
New school: Being turbo, ultralight weight and ultraperforming was new school in the 80s.
New New school: It will still kick some serious booty if left loose on any "school" play ground today (with a very competent driver, that is).
Note: I highly recommend the article about CTR #001 in "Excellence" magazine this month.
Zag when they Zig
Wiesman takes it over anything ever...
Old School: look at the gorgeous deisgn the car has
New school: M3 under the hood, the lowest profile tires on any car according to Top Gear, amazing chasis
Be polite, Be professional, Be prepared to kill...
I would have said the new Mustang. But practically everything is old school on that
I'll vote for the Vauxhall Monaro. See also Pontiac GTO... Holden Monaro... etc
Old School: HUGE V8 engine, loosely tuned, reminiscent of the American Muscle from the 60's and early 70's. A fairly old-school design, too... it just reeks old-school.
New School: Handles. A foreign concept for 1960's Americana . It also goes like stink, and is refined (at times ) and very comfortable. Has electric windows, air con, ABS, EBD, etc.
the only reason i didnt put 2000 on the poll is because we haven't really finished a decade within 2000 yet (kinda unfair if i did)
Honda Nsx
old school: RWD, flip up headlights etc
new school: all aluminum body, lightweight with v6 as opposed to fat ass with a v8
uhhhh.... You might want to rethink just about everything you said.Originally Posted by The_Canuck
I see, but by doing that you will be missing what i think is the biggest batch of exotics in history. i.e. Zonda, Koenisegg, SLR, Carrera GT, Enzo, etc. not to mention what I consider is the most beautiful sportscar in real life: the F430.Originally Posted by .M.
p.s. my vote still goes for the 2000s.
