Playstation 4 or XBox One?

Not starting a flame war, but I thought I'd start a thread about what you guys might be getting.

I'd be interested in the Playstation, just because I've been with Sony before and I like Metal Gear.

But honestly, I don't have time to play so I'm holding out on a purchase.

I would buy both if I had the money, but neither is a must have for the moment for me.

I'd rather save up to a GT86, you know.

That's probably a better use of your money honestly...

But to be fair, I have no where to park and I have no income.

I'd watch out for the PS4 though, there's the blue light of death issue so far- machines that start up without being able to connect with the TV.

What no poll? Neither for me honestly, I think my gaming days are behind me now.

Neither as well, i'd rather save up for a new pair of hockey pads. My brother's boss bought a PS4 and by the time he accessorized (extra controller, games, etc) he spent over $700 which is mighty ridiculous if you ask me

I completely forgot about that! You can add one if you use your mod powers.

Yeah, it's not a cheap hobby, but I don't know of many cheap hobbies.

I agree, my gaming days may be numbered. I may just end it with the PS3. Paying for online makes no sense for me because I don't play often enough for it to make sense.

For me in the end it will probably an impulse buy, after a bad day at the office or maybe on a Saturday afternoon bored at home. The price range 300-400€ allows it to be in the impulse buy zone.

On the other, hand, much like an iPhone, an iPad or 60 inch telly, they are one of those things that I would like to have but that are way down on my priority list. As I said I'd rather save up to a GT86 or spend money on on Michelin star-awarded restaurants than on televisions and computers (although those other things are more expensive, so no impulse buy possible on those cases).

And anyway, for me playing video games is a distraction. I personally think that online gaming is witchcraft, in the same way that if you tried to explain to someone from 1939 that 30 years later we would put a man on the moon.

Would rather see them offer software and let us build/buy/invest the best hardware.

Kind of ended the "which is best" argument in favour of PC as they are now just snapshots of middle of road graphics and processor choices.

I'd definitely go buy the "PS4 software" AND the "Xbox One" software

Well excuuuuse me Mr. Sophistoballer.

At least y'all have that option. My country has 0. 0! I like to spend cash on events rather than things moreso now as well. However, I don't have to pay rent so something like a game console or computer is attainable. I just think I've largely passed the gaming stage.

That being said, I picked up GTA V and borrowed and Xbox and boy is that a laff.

Probably won't get anything until a few years down the line....For reference I got PS2 slims and PS3 slims, which, were both revised model of the original.....during which time the consoles are cheaper and more loaded...

I am going to guess I won't get PS4 until GT7 or something comes out...also need to see what steering wheel or other stuff will be supported...

Getting a massive hangover due to drinking an expensive Gran Reserva wine is as mesmerizing an experience as powersliding a Jaguar F-Type R in Passo Stelvio while listening to the amazeballs V8 soundtrack.

Only much cheaper.

Probably.
