    Best new 4-door sedan?

In choosing a new premium level —but sub $200K— 4-door sedan, what might your considerations be? What would your ultimate choice be?

Choices that come to mind for me are the new Mercedes S-Class (S-550 due soon, S-63 due in a year), the Quattroporte, the 12 cylinder Audi A8-L and the Flying Spur. Others I'm missing? Given these choices I might lean to the AMG as the best blend of comfort and sport, but I've yet to actually see the new S in person. I did see the Audi at the last LA car show and it was stunning.

    Thoughts?

VW Phaeton W12 they're amazingly cheap(In the US) and fast, Or if you don't like the VW badge take an Audi, If you really don't give a crap and just want a very nice looking car I'd say get the Maserati

My choise would definetely be the Quattroporte. It just has so much more soul than the others, and it really is a wolf in sheep clothing. But it's not as comfortable as the others, so if comfort is important for you, I'd chose the Flying Spur or a Jaguar XJ. Or maybe an S-class.

S550, AMG sedans are getting a gangland image for me. The S63 powerplant is otherwise amazing. Something about a large sedan with that much speed makes it lude, gauche, and needy.

The look of the new S-class is a little too sporty but I it might actually look good in person. I think they should've tied it visually with the new king of luxury, the Maybach.

Even with the criticisms I pick the Mercedes.

The Merc S-class.. No doubt at all.. The Phaeton looks like a big Passat, the Audi is just boring... And the reliability in the Maserati isnt that good...

Maserati Quattroporte, if in your country it's around 200k.
