As some of you may know, I was a marshal at last weekends ELE Rally (a rally near Eindhoven). I had a great time
On saturday we had a calm morning with checking in drivers when they entered the service park. Then in the afternoon/evening we organized a stage at Sint-Oedenrode, a stage driven twice in 4 hours. I was responsoble for a point were all drivers passed two times (The stage included a small track driven twice before driven a final mile towards the finish line. During the second time all drivers passed, a Kaloz hit a tree and got stuck. I had the yellow flag and a radio to warn race control. It took the spectators almost 2 minutes to free the car.
On sunday we had a stage at an industrial park near Helmond. This stage was driven 3 times. We had the job to take positions at the fininsh. We needed to take the finish cards from all drivers. It was a great place because we could chat with all the drivers.
All with all, a supersweet weekend. I hope to be able to join the marshal crew again next year!
