Plus, it doesn't have to be called a upmarket less practical VW Golf anymore, now that we have the Scirroco, or however you spell that confounding that segment further.
Porsche has 51% of Volkswagen as of a few days ago.

not totally, they don't have it yet, but the European Commission will not block such a deal (for competition reasons)

Competition reasons? That's an automotive monopoly there, right?

Not that I don't like the products that they come up with though. I'd rather it be them than GM. So will they become the world's largest car company? Or is that GM's title?

well it is already VAG and the EC Competition Commissioner has judged that adding Porsche to VAG widens the range of VAG but not strengthens its competitive position in the areas they are already operating in.

I don't have the numbers but I'd say that VAG isn't even in the top three of largest car companies in terms of production.

Audi needs to bring back the 20v I5 before doing anything else.

I understand. Because Porsche makes completely different cars from what VW already makes, it's "ok".

We in the Uk make up for quantity with Quality. Well at least thats what we'd like to think.

All the UK car makers are going to the wall ROVER, TVR and the rest are now owned by other foreign nations.

Plus we are rubbish at football!

Look at China's population, and then look at Germany's...
