2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (Nov 12-14)

The season decider and four drivers are still in there!

Being Australian I feel obligated to hope that Mark Webber will the race or do enough to secure the championship title. However consistency just isn't his high point and with four people desperate for victory I feel the pressure will get to him and he'll crash out, probably taking others with him.

    The lowdown:

"If Alonso wins or is second, he is champion.
If Webber wins, he wins the title if Alonso is third or worse.
If Vettel wins and Alonso is 5th or worse, Vettel wins the title.
If Hamilton wins, Alonso must fail to score, Webber be 6th or
worse and Vettel 3rd or worse for Hamilton to win the title."

I hope Vettel and Alonso take each other out, Massa wins and Webber is second. Massa could do with some cheering up I think...

Vettel and Alonso will be nursing engines, and whilst Alonso can cruise to the finish and still win the title, Vettel cant so that will be interesting.

I don't really have a personal favourite for the championship. I think I'd support Webber (as he's a sympatic guy), but I wouldn't mind somebody else as long as it isn't Alonso.

Nothing against the drivers, but I want to see anyone but RBR win the title...

I just find it funny that they can have a car that is clearly ways above the rest and still end up having to fight this down to the wire...

    I hear that, but they did own the constructor's championship;

How about this race result, it would be hilarious in a 'pathetic-day-for-motorsport' kind of way:

"Deadlock: in theory, Alonso, Webber and Vettel could finish level on points at the top - a result of Vettel winning, Webber second and Alonso fifth in Abu Dhabi would give them 256 points apiece. Vettel and Alonso would have five wins each, two second places each and three third places each. Vettel would then be champion based on his three fourth places to Alonso’s two."

None of the drivers in contention deserve to win the title this year as all of them have produced some major brain farts during the season.

That said I must also add that if a Red Bull driver fails to clinch the WDC then Christian Horner, Helmut Marko, & Dietrich Mateschitz will go down in history as the "Three Stooges" of F1. To let this opportunity slip away is simply insane, unforgivable and down-right moronic. But it seems that the Red Bull team have failed on so many levels already over the course of this season. So it may just be fitting to hear Alonso laughing over the cockpit radio during the victory lap. That result should he win by less than 7 points would also be typically befitting of Bernie's F1 circus.

^ bit harsh dude , but yeah agreed that RBR havent done themselves any favours this season

if Mark is the race winning driver . . . . . . . he needs Alonso (to drive to 4th or better) to be WDC!

& its a track that asks for desperation late braking if you want to get ahead . . . . . . .

I'd like to see Hami take Vettel out in T1.

Dino, I concur with this assessment.

I'll add I'd like Alonso to do a Barrel roll over the top of them.

Only 0.531 seconds between Pole and 5th place!

I can predict Hamilton will go wide at some turn or another, and once Alonso scooches past, a comfortable second place will net him the title-

unless there a gloriously horrendous accident and the flags and pace car come out......just sayn....
