New Video: '66 Plymouth Acceleration; Speedo View

I keep forgetting to make a acceleration video of my '66 Plymouth Fury VIP like I did with my '69 Cadillac.

So I made one today. An acceleration video, with a view of the speedometer. It is roughly a 0-50 mph acceleration. I wanted to go up to 60 or 70 mph, but that is hard to do when driving and holding a camera!

After watching the video, I was surprised with the 0-30 mph time. It looks like 3 seconds. A little better than the Car Life road test got. The 0-50 mph time seems to be about 6.5 seconds and I would estimate 0-60 mph in around 7.5-7.7.
This is with the completely stock 383-4 bbl engine, auto transmission w/shift kit and weighing 4,330 lbs.

Here is the link to the video:

It's The Blair Witch and the Furious.

You have the best cars here, Fleet. Maybe get a mate to hold the cam next time, I don't think the extra 150 odd lbs will hurt your time that much , we'll call it a 1/10th.
Horsepower wins races. Torque pulls trailers.

I was thinking of mounting the camera on the steering column like I did with the Cad but that takes a while and the glue from the tape gets all over the camera.

Maybe I'll use a co-pilot like you suggest. One who doesn't weigh too much!

It would be fun but you don't exactly live in my area.
