If I had an imaginary million + Euros it would not be spent on an imaginary hypercar.

Yes! Because it sounds vaguely obscene.

At least take a petrol Fabia!
    Never!

The SSC thingy is available with three pedals, isn't it? I'll have that. And the new one looks good.

    Well...
You can't call them hypercars, because there is only one at a time which displays the apex of what is technically doable at the time. The McLaren F1 was a hypercar, and the Bugatti SS could also be considered one, but I'm not going to choose anything here, as the Koenigsegg and the Pagani are both equally desirable. The SS is desirable, too, but for entirely different reasons.

Yep, so no point going for a Veyron.

I picked the Koenigsegg Agera R. Although i would get a Zonda F or Cinque instead if i could get hold of one.

What a supercar is has changed overtime, and I dunno if the press realizes this.
Personally, I consider a supercar anything that isn't a sedan, van, or truck and produces 500 hp or more. I'm going to bump that figure up to 550 soon because of the horsepower war that's going on.

hahaha that's the same exact thing that came with my mom's 2000 Focus when she bought it brand new.

As for my selection of the three, I chose the Pagani. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me a lot really fast. The Koenigsegg looks too much like it's predecessors and the Bugatti really isn't anything special anymore with all the different versions. Maybe if it came in Burnt Orange chrome and Silver or any other wild paint job might i consider it. The Pagani is completely different and I actually really love how it looks. The only thing I'd have to get over is that wheezing engine note

Do you consider the Mercedes-Benz CL600 a supercar?

Nope, looks like a super sedan to me. I'd put it in the category with the Bentley Continental Flying Spur, Maybachs, and all the other AMG Merc Sedans (S Class, C Class, CLS Class etc) with huge horsepower numbers

It's an American thing. They have this thing where they like basic cars, born out of a time when no one had money, and sticking a big engine in a shitty "saloon" meant it was a sports car. Have you seen the GT's interior? It's more of the same.
Basically, they want crap cars, because there was a time when no one could afford good ones. It's a bit silly really. I believe the new Challenger suffers from the same thing, it's really just a powerful engine in an average chassis.

Please do. I once said to a friend of mine who worked at BMW: A Golf is a fantastic car for the money, but if I spend $90K on an A8 I don't want it to have the same switch-gear as the Golf. At least the Veyron feels very 'Audi', the Bentleys feel very 'VW'.

The new SSC looks daring and gorgeous, unfort. it hasn't had an official presentation yet so I didn't include it. No word on the number of pedals on the new one.

It would be tough for me to chose just one of these cars, although if I could afford one I suppose I could probably afford the other two but for the sake of the thread I'll go with the Veyron.

It's a rather polarizing car, a lot of people think it's ugly and pointless while others see it as an engineering marvel. I tend to side with the latter and for that reason I'd take it but the Koenigsegg is a very very close second.

I don't know anything about these cars, so just on looks I vote for the Kegg. I don't like the Pagani's styling so much, and surprising as it may be, I actually find the Bugatti more attractive than it. That said I'm not too fond of any of these. There is plenty of car, and then there is too much car. These would be nice for a weekend, but not to live with. I'd still rather a previously enjoyed Ferrari, and even thats sort of pushing it .

I think that is a tradition that found its roots in Italy during the sixties, when the Fiat parts bin supplied all sorts of exotic supercars with 10 cents lenses or switches....

That was probaby due to not being able to afford bespoke ones, not some brutal cost cutting.

Anyway, I'm not sure beign considered an Audi is better than being considered a VW.

The problem is much more felt with Lamborghini. The Gallardo's dashboard is quite un-200.000-€-ish compared to other Audis.

Volkswagen = cheap Audi = cheap Bentley (some of them) or subtle (relatively) Lamborghini (some of them again).

So just buy a VW Fox and fix its silly high ride.
