    Chicago Indoor Racing

Has anyone ever been to CIR or any place like it? It is a indoor kart track with semi race spec karts. Tons of fun! There are three locations in the chicagoland area. Me and tow friends go every once in a while when we have some spare cash to waste away. You must be 18 years of age to go so that mixed with the price weeds out a lot of the idiots. last night went well, i placed, 1st 4x, 2nd 2x, and 3rd 1x.

I went on a day of karting back in the winter, and though I haven't driven one since, have on many occasions felt cravings to go back.
EDIT: Niko, kart #13 ftw. That's what I used too.

We go to Rush Hour Karting. It's def good fun, but 6'4'' is not ideal size for a kart.

At chicago indoor it was $95 for 7 races. If you get the annual license its 7 for $70 through out the duration of your license which is a year.

We always took customers and our field staff to karting in the UK when they were over from the US.
They always said it coudl never be as fast or as popular in the US because of the risk of injury and lawsuits
Looks as if it's getting there.

Prior to going karting, (my parents and) I had to sign millions upon billions of forms saying that any conceivable injury was not the track's fault and that I was soley to blame yada yada yada...
So I definately think our litigiousness does get in the way, but there are still some people with some insanely fast karts out there. They just avoid lawsuits by keeping the fast karts to themselves.

There's a place close to my house called Velocity 17 which is apparently quite good but I haven't gone around to going yet. Definitely wanna check it out sometime this month though.

I go to CIR Buffalo Grove almost every tuesday. A group of us rent it out and close it down. I've also done CIR Addison.
