Never been a fan of aftermarket wheels, and I always thought they were quite an important part of how a car look. If a company doesn't come out with the right wheels, or headlights, there is something wrong, in my book that is.

any sort of clean five spoke designed wheels from a reputable manufacturer would suit the car.
probably have optional wheels from maclaren themselves anyway.

McLaren F1 even also had really plain wheels.....aside from the LM with the thick 5 spoke racing wheels, the stock 5 split spoke was probably the least attractive part of that car. This just sorta continues it....

I like those pebble beach shots though...it has a nice stance..

Their "Super-lightweight forged" wheels are pretty inoffensive.

I think it's a result of the wheels being so large.

My own pictures and article from the Italian unveiling in Milan 2 weeks ago:

The Italian Junkyard: 8.4 McLaren Strikes back: quality time with the brand spanking new McLaren Mp4-12C at the Italian unveiling

Link just to avoid uploading 64 images again.
All shots were supposed to be 1920*, but Picasa decided 1600 was enough.
    In the process, quality dropped...

I think this is going to be good.

    I want a comparo with a 458.

McLaren seem to do it right.

Funny they quoted a different acceleration figure for the optional tire, but not braking figure....tractive force works in both direction....

I notice the 0-60 distance is 0100 Ft with standard steel brakes. That would mean the carbon brakes would be world record stoppers....
