doesn't look bad, except for those wheels
and the hash marks come from the 1963 corvette grand sport
i'm thinking that it might have looked better in a blue w/ white stripe paint job like the 90's grand sport
I'm a fan of all Corvettes, it's good to see that the Grand Sport lives up to its name and isn't just a cheap sticker special like so many cars are these days. I must admit, despite GM's woes, the passion they put into the Corvette is very impressive and the C6 is their finest yet. Great to see some heritage in the current model lineup!
I was just thinking, is this basically a lower power with a convertible option Z06 ?

Doesn't look as special as the 1996 edition.
i can, especially if you have any intent on tracking it. brake cooling is crucial, better suspension would be good, and the splitter and rear lip spoiler would help with downforce which cant be bad.

I can see the point with brakes, that's the only thing I'd miss in the standard car. But I think the aerodinamic devices wouldn't be of much use at road speeds, the wider car won't fit in our twisty roads, I don't want bigger wheels that compromise the ride and give me more grip and the Z51 package suspension was probably enough.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
there are WAAAAAAAAAAAY too many trim levels of the Corvette. not saying it's a bad thing, it's just that there's so many trims like, C5, C6, C6R, Z06, ZR1, but then again, i guess that isn't alot...

Mah boi, UCP is what all true warriors strive for!
PINGAS!!!!
The Corvette should not be mentioned. In the same sentence as the Mustang. It simply cannot compete with those two.
Fortunately, you did put the Veyron in a different sentence.
The Corvette always seems to be having one sort of anniversary or another, but I doubt this will carry the ridiculous markup that the. Veyron (more-so) and Mustang suffer from.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
LOL @ Cargirl!
They are models, not trim levels I think. The Grand Sport seems to fit in nicely, but they should have been aiming for a mild power upgrade (460bhp?). Reminds me very much like a tactic Nissan have been using for years with their so-called V-Spec cars... It certainly gives reason to think that the standard car is not good enough to tackle the corners.
The Grand Sport should be more hardcore if it is aimed at track enthusiasts.
