In a game called vdrift I made a nisann r34 gtr with about 20000lfbt of torque form 4k-9k revs. I reduced the drag coeffecient to 0.001 and it easy passes 300 mph.
    Win.

EDIT: the game crashes when i reach 350

I have Scuderia Ferrari tattooed on my heart. I approve.

But yeah it kinda goes against the torque statement. Not entirely though.

Except when Ford really wants to beat them.

    EDIT: Or Porsche.

EDIT 2: Or in the F1 WDC, anybody from 1979-2000.

What unit are you measuring your torque in? To be pedantic there's no such thing as more torque than power.. or vice-versa.. they're measured using totally different units and they're two different concepts.

    Torque obviously wins though...

    Pound-foot.

Although the SI reckon it should be measured in Newton-metres.

Can you rectify that statement? I am offended. You have obviously no clue of what you just said. As a moderator you are on this site to prevent such stupidities, not to produce them.

    and diesel=torque, wins.

As for the first part, it was a joke, I thought you were joking for a minute but I guess not.

And as for the second, is diesel's specific torque greater on average than gasoline if one considers naturally aspirated engines only? An interesting question... then again, I don't think people that buy diesels are often motivated by how they perform, rather, how cost effective they are.
