Both all stock, no mods, and well over 100,000 miles at the time:
1999 Saab 9-3 SE has been over 140mph a few times (144 indicated on the way back down) with two passengers, but now with minor body damage and almost 180,000 miles on it, I don't think we'll be testing the upper end again in that car!
1994 Acura Integra GSR 4-door spent a lot of time over 140, the fastest indicated between 148-152 mph, but my friend's motorcycle was reading well over 155 when we lifted for an upcoming turn (he was in the next lane). I trust the car's reading more.
I've driven faster, but not in my own car, so that info is classified.

    200!!! but I wasn't driving...

fastest i've ever gone personally is 160mph in my 350z. Supposedly limited to 155 but the speedo kept going to 160. Very stable up to around 150. The fastest I've ever been as a passenger was when me and my buddy rented a Murcielago and got it to 200 on the freeway at night*. 200 felt like the millennium falcon at hyper speed, it was probably the single greatest rush of adrenaline I've ever felt. I wonder how many people are part of the 200mph on public roads club? Must be a small group haha

*I know its stupid to go that fast on a public road and I'm very lucky to be alive today and to have not hurt anyone in the process. But come on, what else would you do with a Murcielago that someone gave you the keys to.

Put on some bling and nightshades, then cruise the strip to test it's value as a chick magnet?

Hard to say my Grand Prix GTP speedo only went up to 190 km/h, but I would say around 205-210km/h as it hit 190 pretty quick and stayed there for another 2 or 3 seconds but I knew it was climbing - on a straight lonely stretch of Canadian highway.. speed limit 80

    What a silly question!

299kph indicated - GSXR1000K4 on both a public highway and Pukekohe race track (that's as far as the speedo goes, but the actual speed was probably 270-275kph.

Things get too serious at over 200 kph on public roads, anyway......
