    Every GT40 kit I've seen has been as good as the original in style, construction and performance
    The Lancia Stratos kit is AN EXACT COPY of the original.
    Many Stratos owners are fitting the kit parts when their's breaks
    Cobra replicas are often BETTER than original as they use more modern components and suspension geometries and engine/drivetrains.

    There IS a class of "replica" though that sucks and it seems to all centre around the Pontiac Fiero. With one exception EVERY one I've ever seen is hideous and perorms even worse ( the exception was a Ferrari whcih from abtou 20 yds looked passable .... but you got close and it was obvious if you knew Ferrari. Off course you started it up adn just laughed !!!

    matra is the ferrari replica you speak of a 355 replica based on an MR-2?
    cyco tells me of a 355 owner who gets accused of driving a riced MR-2

    i'm going with DRB syko only 20 min down the road in case i run into trouble
