cooling channels are cast into the block....so the casting have to be different...

2009 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR

Porsche has just released pictures and statistics on it's 2009 GT challenger, the RSR. (What is the second R for? I think RS = Renn Sport.) Power is down from last year's 465 hp @ 8,000 rpm to 450 hp @ 7,800 rpm, but displacement is increased from 3.8 - 4.0L. Torque stays the same at 317 lb-ft at 7,250 rpm. Weight is 1,220 for ACO, 1,245 kg for FIA. Price is €380,000.

As you can see in the pics below, the front fascia has some more fancy bits on the front and a louvred hood for the A/C.
