Is this on at all on Speed or any North American station because seeing cars rally in the snow is something I must say that I quite enjoy.

No(r)way.
Good to see Petter hanging in there.
Though it seems that he might have trouble fighting with the top three..
Hope he can take in some on Sordo tomorrow!
Remember he have only had two test days in the car before this rally!

I dunno if it is on TV over the pond, but WRC TV is free:

World Rally Championship - TV

Many thanks LL, this is grand.

I absolutely love the drifts they pull through the corners in the snow - I think this may be my preferred motorsport to partake in.

WOW, so close to the snow on the side of the track, awesome.

looking at Solberg and how he is performing, I'm wondering if all the technical progress was really worth all the money it cost.
I can see why Citroen, for one, would want the WRC car to be a C4 after the Xsara was discontinued, of course, but as a simple way to keep costs down, using the same cars, just updating the bodyworks and the mechanical parts evry say 3-4 years could work, at least while going trough these though days with the economy sinking everyday even more.

Not this year unfortunately.
I had it in mind, but couldn't make it.

It's held about 350-400km's from me.

halfway Day2, Loeb now 10 seconds ahead (in spite of him having to start first on the road, giving rise to some (unjustified IMHO) suspicions that Hirvonen deliberately handed in the lead during the final stage yesterday.
Solberg H now 5th, Solberg P sixth.

The driver uses the snow bank to keep them on the road.
Seriously, if the bank is the right size and of the right type of snow then they can go into a corner faster, get it sideways and let the rear clip the snow bank slowing down and aligning for the corner exit Great to watch when done properly ... tbh even more fun to watch when they get it wrong and the snow just drags them in

well, I was referring to the front part of the car, but that's fun to watch at nonetheless

whatever, but Loeb did it again, keeping Hirvonen less than 10 seconds at bay....

Ecstatic Loeb wins Rally Norway

Sebastien Loeb won his 49th victory in the WRC with his victory in Rally Norway 2009. An ecstatic Loeb was extremly happy to win this difficult winter-rally.

– This victory was very important for me, said Sebastien after passing the finishing line at Budor.

Loeb was just 9.8 seconds ahead of Mikko Hirvonen after three days with 23 stages. That is definitely close race! Jari-Matti Latvala took the third place on the podium.

Best norwegians were Henning and Petter Solberg who ended on 4th and 6th place.

Final Classification Rally Norway 2009:

1 S. LOEB (F) 3:28:15.9 0.0
2 M. HIRVONEN(FIN)3:28:25.7 +9.8
