Hmm... I see. I don't remember which thread it is but I welcome it anyway, since I wouldn't be able to find that thread again.

They're too small to be in the hideout though.....

    This one you mean?

Which you can easily find by entering "Ferrari 408 Stradalle" into UCP's excellent "Search" function?

wow, this is like all today's ferrari's grandpa you see a side air intake of a F50, some air outlets of Enzo around the body, overall shape much like a 360 and 430 (take a close look at the windscreen), this car is very interesting...
A Ferrari is a dream, two Ferraris are paradise while three Ferraris are just too good to be true

    Why 408, though?

I was thinking of the 1987 concept when I first saw the title.

to me it looks like someone's modern interpretation of a 512S (think LeMans the movie) Notice the styling of the front... very similar. This would also explain why it was based on the Testarossa (later models were named 512TR) both the 512S and 512TR have flat-12 engines.

What makes it somewhat confusing are the wheels and rear grill from a 360 Stradale. This would indicate that it was made somewhat recently.
At first glance, the side intakes look as if they are straight from a F355, but closer inspection reveals slightly different proportions.

So all in all it looks like someone wanted a 512S... but wanted to make it modern... and wanted to make it a road car (hence Stradale) ...the only thing that doesn't make sense to me then, is the name 408.

    ...or maybe I'm totally off

(in portughese...) por vezes a Ferrari crisma os seus modelos segundo a cubicagem unitária dos cilindros. assim '408' seriam os cc de cada cilindro (408 x 12 = 4.896 cc... já dá um nº conhecido, não?)

    The 512S doesn't have a flat 12. It has a conventional 60º V12.

That's what I thought, but IIRC, the Testarossa had a 4942cc engine.
