I think that Felipe is not the one who should be fined, his mechanics let him out at the wrong time so the team should pay a fine
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

they don't use the lolipop system, it was AFAIK automated, they use a 3 light system. When the refueling nozzle is engaged the light goes red, then when the flow stops it goes yellow, and when the nozzle comes out it goes green. The driver are supposed to go when the light goes green, unless they have an override switch that stops the light from going green. If no one overrides that Massa would just take off when its green, as was the case there.....

The huge walls all around the circuit make Valencia one of the most boring race to watch.

    I'm very disappointed.
    Reginald *IB4R* says:
it was a beautiful 35 seconds.
    David says:
    that's what she said

yes so its the mechanics fault for not overriding it.

i agree the field spread out too quickly and there was no good overtakking. i think they said theyre gonna change the track for 09 but i dont see what they could really do within the confines of the track to make it more interesting

    The light is NOT automatic.
THe engineer on the hose has a switch that he presses when the nozzle releases.

I thought it would be exciting like the good old Champ Car street circuits, but the Euro GP was dull.
I've got no idea why Bernie was touting the Valencia circuit as the best in the world, when it was far from that.

I think it had more to do with the mentality of the drivers and their cars....in Champ car they dare to go wheel to wheel because to an extent their car can take it. Where as F1 you really have to be sure you can pass someone to make a move. Or else you are going to break something....
