    That was my first thought.

Still not sure why there is a picture of Roger Feder...?
He came dancing across the water
    With his galleons and guns
    Looking for the new world
In that palace in the sun
    On the shore lay Montezuma
With his cocoa leaves and pearls

I don't remember exactly, but I think that the person bailed out of the plane without a chute because it was gonna crash or something and they landed going down an incline with snow and wheat and somehow slid down it and hit it at such an angle to survive.

btw I don't think its inconceivable that a image can survive the building collapse. The camera might be dead and busted, but only the memory card needs to live, and solid-state media like CF or SD can survive far easier than something like a HDD...

Much more amazing actually, from wiki:

JAT stewardess Vesna Vulović survived a fall of 33,000 feet (over 10,000 meters)[1] on January 26, 1972 when she was thrown from JAT Flight 364. The plane was brought down by explosives planted by Croatian (Ustashe) terrorists over Srbská Kamenice in the former Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). The Serbian stewardess suffered a broken skull, three broken vertebrae, one crushed completely, and was in a coma for 27 days. In an interview she commented that, according to the man who found her, "...I was in the middle part of the plane. I was found with my head down and my colleague on top of me. One part of my body with my leg was in the plane and my head was out of the plane. A catering trolley was pinned against my spine and kept me in the plane. The man who found me, says I was very lucky.

How'd you find that? Was in on another webpage as the actual Wiki entry differs slightly from that version.

the memory card could survive, it's a possibility eve if remote in those circumstances, but since it was on the top of the building, I guess it' wouldn't be found easily.
