So, here are two of my favorite GT cars.
I can't seem to find a gap between them in terms of overall package... (looks, performance, etc)
So, in your opinion, which one's better?

Everything ends at 666...

The DB9.
But of the ones given, the DBS.
Lack of charisma can be fatal.
Visca Catalunya!
both a bit over the top imo, but the 599 seems a bit more restrained in styling? (less tack on bits). can't stand it's stupid grinning face though. i'd probably go aston.
Andreas Preuninger, Manager of Porsche High Performance Cars: "Grandmas can use paddles. They aren't challenging."
personal taste is the only gap between the two.
Probably the DBS, I wouldn't mind the 599, definitely both.
I can't see the problem of saying they are both as good as you (BH) think. putting everything into a chart form doesn't give something more to the winner, neither asking to someone else to decide.
ok, I've been harsh.
here is why to choose the 599 GTB, just some random reasons:
- better performance from every point of view
- better technology
- it's a Ferrari
- in certain colors it's damn sexy
- sophisticated aero
- inspired by one of the best cars ever made (365 GTB)
some reasons to buy a DBS
- more exclusive
- it's damn sexy period
- awesome sound
- british style a la 007
- better interiors
- the designer (Marek Reichman) knows every inch of the car and why it is that way, something rare these times
so, it's up to your taste, really.
each of these points raised can be argued.
if we were discussing the mechanical, something more objective could have been found, but from a general point of view, it's only a personal issue.

The 599. It's a Ferrari. Passion. Heritage. Panty Dropper.
...Utah! Get me two...
Yes, the 599. It drives much much better and definitely the one to have.
DBS because of the looks
is the 599 inspired by the 365 GTB? it doesn't look like it...
I guess the Ferrari.
I'd imagine it's the better driver's car.
But that doesn't really matter, because I'd just sell it and get an F430 of some sort.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"
how do they compare power wise? i dont know much about the aston martin. but i have noticed that it hasn't been included in any performance tests against the zr-1, but the ferrari has and it has been about even steven.
my general thoughts on aston martins is that they are gorgeous but kind of underpowered compared to their competition. so i suppose i would go with the ferrari even though its probably not as pretty, although if they are close in performance (or if the ferrari has just a moderate edge that nothing but a computer would really notice) then i might go with the aston just cause of looks.
also, can you get the aston with a normal manual transmission? and can you get the ferrari with a normal manual transmission?
ps...that second picture is a really nice picture! i might have to put in on my computer

A woman goes to the doctor to figure out why she is having breathing problems...The doctor tells her she is overweight. She says she wants a second opinion...the doctor says, "your ugly".
It depends if the question means which car is better at being a GT or which car is better?
As I enjoy sportscars, I'd probably side with the 599 even though I think it ain't to pretty because it as you said is probably the better drivers car, but the DBS may well be better as a Grand Tourer.
DBS.
The 599 GTB looks like rubbish. And it is rubbish in general.
The DBS, but the 599 is the only ferrari on sale i can stand right now. It's a good looking car - the only one they make - and lovely inside and out. However, the feeling of the Aston, and how stunning it looks (having now seen a few on the road) sets it apart imo.
What's with all the Britishisms? hellcat said rubbish in another thread as well.
EDIT: Ah yes, the Top Gear phenomenon.
