If this is true, (i have no reason at all to doubt you!) I can't wait for a new Vodafone liveried Holden commodore!!! Ohh c'mon!
Unless of course they don't make one, like they didn't make the Opel Vectra gts in dtm guise......
But they did make the Lexus copy!

I went back to GT5 over spring break. I didn't do any regular races, I did mostly seasonal events and bought and tuned cars I wanted to tune. I think the seasonal events are more fun than the normal races.
Also, I notice that you get more bang for your buck by consecutively logging in for 5 days or so in a row. That way the credit that you win is doubled, as is your experience too.
I enjoyed driving the R8 4.2 and the race prepped Acura NSX. It's a shame that the normal game doesn't pull me in- the amount of effort put in to win some of the cars just isn't worth it.
I do however enjoy buying all the old J-tin and tuning the heck out of things. I've been looking for a Datsun 240Z. I held off buying one because you couldn't swap out the ugly period alloys.
Driving on Nurburgring at night in heavy rain was really fun too.
I still think a good part of the game is broken, but a lot of it can be enjoyed, however.
The promised HD remakes of the old GT4 cars hasn't appeared yet, for instance.
The standard car's wheel can be swapped now.....

if only those list were true, i'll be the happiest man in the world
Forza 4 has always had black Watanabes...
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
Troll.
But to be very honest, it is the little things like this that really piss me off about Gran Turismo 5.
At least in GT4 watanabes were available if you waited for it to cycle through the used wheels section. No idea why they made you wait for them instead of outright just buying the damn set.
Polyphony is pretty inconsistent at some times with Gran Turismo and it can drive you insane.
In GT5 certain wheels are available with only certain cars for instance.
forza seems to be making modifications and making money in the career mode easier, GT5 seems to be going the opposite way.. to mimic real life maybe? i think forza better understands that people just want to race the damn exotics on the box art, not spend hours in a toyota yaris trying to save up for an EG civic.

They don't even have EG Civic as premium car.....lol

I actually quite like racing the cruddy cars.. but then I'm more likely now to race something vintage in the low class races.

i like racing them for fun, i don't like racing them because that is my only option!

True, gotta change it up some.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.
Yes, because there are no Porsches in real life.
That is an incredibly glaring omission.
I agree! The more exotic race cars seem to be far more incredibly twitchy, especially in the throttle, than it used to be.
I'm buying a whole bunch of J-tin and just modding them. Hakosukas, Ken-Marys, Isuzu 117 coupe. It's too bad there aren't as many customization options as Forza.
