First of all, please look at the torque figure - 700 lb-ft or 950 NM!

No existing manual gearbox at the time (it was nearly 20 yrs ago) could cope with the tremendous torque, therefore this beast was mated to 3A which used to serve GM's heavy vehicles.

Still, this must be the most hyped supercar project ever.
15 yrs of development, huge amount of $$$$ spent, wildest claims about everything.... Result: big zero
