First car game you ever played?

One of my firsts that I played for more than a quarter was Big Red Racing. It was cool that it was a total 3d environment and if you didnt feel like racing, you could explore the levels. Wow that was like 13 years ago.

After that was definetly Carmageddon.

i dunno about the first racing game i ever played cause it was so long ago but the first one i remember being truly addicted to was test drive 2:the deul. on sega genesis. you could choose between a 959, an f40, and a diablo. man that game was great. We rented that 4 or 5 weekends in a row.

the first racing game i ever owned was Road rash on genisis. i know its not cars...but it was freakin awsome!

I remember most of the really early sega stuff, on master system. Mega drive was way to expensive back then... So we had to make do with the old master system 2... the one that had alex kid built in. Super Monaco 2 was awesome, and so was Indy 500, But Id have to say the first electronic car game I ever had was a little hand held thing, you drove along a road, it had 3 lanes and you had to move between the lanes as the car progressively got faster, without hitting any other cars. It stopped when you passed 1000 cars (Omg) and I loved it to death. Played it to death as well. I think it cost all of $4.99 in 1989.
