Probably as the rest of rivals?

Or maybe as the rest of BMWs? Or maybe even as the rest of german cars?

In any case such a useless car...

Interior is a tragic mixture of too many textures and too many colours.
Exterior is as pretty as a bucket of smashed crabs.
WTF - another permutation of a useless model?
    What next - a convertible 4WD M-series 2 door coupé limo wagon?

    I like the wheels, however.

Now I think that handling is always important in a car, but a twisty mountain road, like the Stelvio pass, shouldn't be a grand tourer's home turf probably. A grand tourer should excel at covering big distances in supreme comfort in my opinion. Which where a driver focused MPV might come in handy. You may have the space but the ability to drive at over 200km/h on the motorway if you want as well. That for me is what a grand tourer should be.

Now think of the R-Class, it has the right mechanical layout, meaning better road holding. Powerful engines, meaning fast progress. And an MPV body, potentially meaning better comfort. And isn't that what grand tourer is all about?
I'd say the Stelvio pass is a big part of what makes up a GT car. Anything with a big engine can bomb along a motorway in comfort, but a GT should be able to make respectable progress up a mountain pass as well. Obviously not sportscar performance, but not too far off.

Well of course. But my point was that it shouldn't be its first priority.

On that basis not everything in a grand tourer has to be necessarily geared towards handling.
