I figured this is probably a little to complicated to run as one of the standard GT4 Challenges, so we could just do it independently of them.
Here's how I think we should run it (and I am happy to do so):
Rules:
Any car is allowed (with the exception of race/rally cars and prototypes), with any level of tune but a maximum of Racing Medium tires (to simulate the stickiest of current borderline legal sticky track biased rubber) and no driver aids. The same car with the same modifications must be used for each round, i.e. no changing turbos over, but full set-up options.
The competition will be run over three events:
1/4 Mile (Oval)
Top Speed (Oval - on the top speed mode)
Handling (Autumn Ring - rewards balanced handling more than anything else)
Points will be rewarded as follows:
1st - 10
2nd - 9
3rd - 8
4th - 7
5th - 6
6th - 5
7th - 4
8th - 3
9th - 2
10th - 1
The idea being that good times across the board will be more important than getting a blinding time in any one event. Or we could add the times together?
I reckon the best way to do it will be for people to publish their intent to compete along with the car they'll be using, its weight, power and torque then we'll set an official entry date. After that point we'll set a closing date, before which all times have to be pm'd to me in order for points to be awarded.
Whadya reckon?
