Who is Colani

Luigi Colani was a German, born into a lot of money, so he decided that instead of getting a job, he would design things.

He is one of the most unique designers I have ever seen, his works are amazing.

Years ago I saw a book with many of his designs. The truck was shown with it's trailer, which was connected to the prime-mover with an aero curtain and the wheels were covered. He is most famous for aerodynamic efficiency, sometimes at the expense of style.

The best part of the truck (I thought) was the widscreen wiper. It was a 3 blade contraption (like the Mercedes star) that worked off a motor in the centre of the windscreen, and turned like a slow propellor.
