Presented with extensive paperwork, including service books and Lancia Certificate of Origin, this Delta S4 perfectly encapsulates the performance and excess of Group B rallying from the 1980s. Delivered new to Italy, the Lancia was first registered in 1989, five years after its original delivery.

Homologation requirements for Group B racing dictated that at least 200 street-legal versions of the iconic rally machine be built, and the Delta S4 presented here is one such rare Stradale model. Power is provided by the famed 1,759-cubic centimetre dual overhead cam four-cylinder engine, fitted with Weber Marelli IAW electronic fuel injection and dual-stepped Volumex supercharger and KKK turbocharger. The impressive 300 horsepower is sent to all four wheels via a five-speed manual gearbox.

Delivered in metallic red over a beige Alcantara interior, the car presents immaculately throughout, a testament to its fastidious keeping and minimal use throughout its life. Having travelled less than 1,600 kilometres in its lifetime, this car is presented as close to a new Lancia Delta S4 as is possible.
