beside creating a new GT1, why dont porsche slightly modified CGT and race it on the track? the CGT has already use an engine that is built from le mans race car's engine, so it is supposed to have pretty good durability. and the stock CGT already has good performance, so it is not very difficult to tune it up a little bit to compete in le mans.

Again we come to the point that the CGT started out as a race car, but was canned.

Why would Porsche suddenly change their minds?

the CGT has already use an engine that is built from le mans race car's engine, so it is supposed to have pretty good durability. and the stock CGT already has good performance, so it is not very difficult to tune it up a little bit to compete in le mans.

If they did just modify a CGT it would have to go into the GTS class, as it would have no hope against the Prototypes.

Therefore weight needs to come down to 1,100kg and power would also need to be reduced to 600bhp.
