    Koenigsegg Custom Vision

    Custom Vision

An increasing number of Koenigsegg customers wish to make their car a “one of special”. Usually this means bespoke interior trimming, exterior colors and carbon areas, special wings, wheels and stereo systems or track biased chassis setting including race harnesses and so on.

In order to handle these specifc needs in an organized way, Koenigsegg has set up a program called Custom Vision. This program enables our customer to fulfll their wildest dreams through a production and development system that Koenigsegg has optimized over the years. For example Koenigsegg have two engineers on fulltime aleart ready to tackle any new and exiting challenge coming from our customer and to take these ideas through to production.

Each program is personally supervised by Chrisitan von Koenigsegg, that personally helps put the fnal touches to the features in accordance with the esteemed customers visions.

The car pictured below is just one of many examples to come. Here the customer had very specifc ideas about colors and carbon exposure.

The interior shots remind me of Pagani.

Well, it's The Egg chair by Arne Jacobsen, which is sold for about 4000 dollars in normal configuration. In CF, it could probably fetch some more...

That is Christian von Koenigsegg, so it wouldn't be that bad to bring him in as an avatar.

If someone wanted their Koenigsegg to be a distinct "one-off" (not like the Bugatti paint-it-any-colour-you-like scheme), then why not send your recently acquired Swedish beauty and a bag of money to a coachbuilder? I'm sure someone like Bertone or Pininfarina could work wonders with the somewhat boring lines of the standard car, making a true one-off without having to explain why its different.
Buying a car and not driving it is like buying a meal and not eating it.

because creating a one off now is unfortunately much more difficult and expensive than what it was 50 years ago. Now you have to care about safety and other standards, depending on your country, and in such an extreme design also aerodynamic problems, vibrations, instability and so on. it was much more easy to create a one off (not saying it was easy to design a piece of art, obviously) simply because it was based on less "exaggerated" technical rules.

As a reference, consider how much time and money cost the P4/5.
We could ask something about it to Napolis next time he shows up.

I think there are 2 main constraints for coahcbuilding today. Unitary construction and regulations.

And it's really a shame, in my opinion.

thaat's not your opinion, it's the truth.

the look of recent one-offs could even not been liked, but they are definitely reviving a lost art and it's so much interesting, it's probably one of the best aspects of the automotive industry these days.

I'm slowly losing my interest in Koenigsegg these days.
