As it turns out, it doesn't. But they've started fitting them to my engine since the beginning of this year and they can (apparently) be retro-fitted. I'm not quite sure what retro-fitted means though. Perhaps my Particulate Filter will have flared trousers and listen to vinyls a lot... Hmmm....
my car was made in 2002 and has a standard filter...Originally Posted by VtecMini

Approximately 79% of statistics are made up.
I'm getting an astonishing 16.2 emm-pee-gee in der UberCougar... Crappy mileage, crappy transmission, crappy seats. Remind me again why people buy American cars.
Oh, and audiophiles across the world are cringing at your vinyl collections.

-2001 Toyota Yaris 1.3 VVTi
-no mods, but a very close upkeep
-Drive em like its not mine (already crashed a Nissan Almera )
-6.1L/100KM on a fuel tank of 40Liters its almost 800Km (600miles~) on a full tank
I am easily satisfied with the very best.

its like driving with cruise control on all the time
i think if i really tried, i could hit 4L/100km
i've done 4.1L/100km already, but that was on vacation going to Wales (from france) Steady 140kmh..
Tips for economic driving:
- Keep the same pace as much as you can, a steady foot is better then cruise control!
- Keep the car in gear when slowing down, without using the clutch (brake on the engine, this safes more fuel then having the car idling when slowing down!)
- Know your cars torque band and shift accordingly, low revs, but not to low, you'll feel when its to low :P
- Put plenty of air in the tires
- watch earodynamics, my cars mpg went upwards after it was lowered!

Vinyl lover 'till I die! Remember, I'm an sld schooler, I'll do something the way your father did it just because I can. They aren't computerized, that makes me happy. And you can't get half the stuff I have on more modern mediums, anyway.Originally Posted by Quiggs

My dad's living room is 20x15 feet. It has his computer desk with over $3,000 of A/V recording/burning/copying stuff. His home theater is over 1000 total watts of JBL goodness, and he's got over 1400 CDs (probably 300 of which are Springsteen bootlegs), many of which are "only available on vinyl." And most of that stuff is mixed in 5.1 Dolby. There are literally CD spinner shelves on his end tables. He scoffs at vinyl. "Let's take a piece of plastic and scrape one of the hardest known substances across it. Yeah, great idea..." - him, on records.
Hell, even my grandfather owned CDs before he died. Get with the times.
