What I don't get is why Mercedes and some other sources say it's a 6.3litre, whereas others state that it is a 6.2litre which would make more sense because of it's 6208cc's IIRC. Could it be something to do with heratige? I.e. with the old 300SEL 6.3

And they had *(*)55AMG for the 5.4Supercharged...

Yes, the 63 is in reference to the old 300SEL 6.3. If you made an educated guess, props.

Oh, and the automatic transmission thing. It's still a driver's car. It delivers comfort while delivering excellent performance. Yes, the pure automotorist would like a manual, but this almost eliminates the need for one. I'm more interested in the sequential gearbox they are developing.

Its a very good engine in y opinion with excelent variable intake manifold design and vallve timing features. It also has a clever friction reducing cylinder liner. And just for fun the engine in some programmes deliberately causes misfires to create a more aggressive V8 sound to contrast its refinement.
How the hell do you get this information Jediali? You are a master!

Bah. I have a hell of a time finding engine masses (not "weights" - so archaic) online anyways.

Back to the cars. I cannot decide whether I'd have this, an M3 or a RS4. All are so good...
