    Rover T3

OK,I'm cheating as I really want more tech info on this car.

But reckoned it's unusual enough to warrant a "what is it" Q too.

But rather than two threads, decided by hiding the name initially this thread can do both.

So what's the car .. I'll udpate the thread title once that's covered

THEN what about tech details on it. I'm thinking power output, speeds, suspension configuration etc.
PS: It was only ever a prototype, never went to production.

T3. First car specifically designed around gas turbine engine, by Spencer King with Gordon Bashford and Peter Wilks.
Inboard rear engine (2S100 - 2 shaft, lOOhp)
4-wheel drive, fixed diff. Sheet steel frame, glassfibre body (David Bache). DeDion rear suspension, back-angled front forks, 4-wheel inboard Dunlop disc brakes - Most of these innovations were to be used on the P6, seven years later!
    Compressor turbine 52,000rpm, light-up 15,000rpm
    Max bhp 110
Max mpg 13 (with heat exchanger).

Thansk faksta, that site is great.
Amazes me that a New Zealand enthusiast site turns up more than the UK A-R ones

There's not much else to do in New Zealand.
Life's too short to drive bad cars.

    ... that doesn't involve livestock.

    Seriously, great find... thanks!
