In the UK many of the performance tyres we get to run all year are "summers" on mainland Europe ! And no difference in compound !!

Mainly coz it doesn't get THAT warm and seldom gets very cold for very long.
Until these last two years where we've seen an upsurge of sales of "winter" tyres !!

Coldest day here last year had a min of 0C and a max of 15C.

For some strange reason I've never seen a winter tyre stocked anywhere...

well granted i should probably ditch the R888's for wet weather tyres come february.
    Neither have I.

We used to have "normal tyres" and then on really cold place very far from where I live some people used "winter tyres".

All-seasons are definitely a mistery. For me a Michelin Pilot Sport is definitely an all-season tyre.

Bah. My mower has a small oil weep already. So much for Briggs and Stratton reliability.
