That's a bit porky, though in your defense how much $$$ lightweight mods have you made? The class I'm running has a 2000lb weight limit so I'm giving an advantage to anyone less porky than my fat ass. Here's to driving a very w-i-d-e line.

EDIT: BTW, glad it wasn't ME that blew a pile of money makin' this Pig so light! Racer Maxim: Always buy the best, after someone else spent like a fool and is done with it. In this case the guy got excited, was rich (a Walter Mitty with limited skills but a big checkbook),
went through 4 seasons and 901 'boxes like cordwood, then sold it for less than 1/3 what it cost to build. Someone had to step in and
    help him out...

    none:
    a)remove rear seats, reduce weight
    b) add rollcage, back to normal weight
    trade off haha.

agree with this! buying someone else's well sorted car is the easiest way in.
i decided to do the mini from scratch before realising my time was better spent elsewhere so now it languishes in the shed..

Then 1207 kg is damn good! This thing has plastic doors, hood, trunk, Lexan windows, trick alloy arms, hollow torsion bars... you name the expensive trick and the guy spent. Engine is as stout a 2.0 as I've ever driven without being a grenade. He shunted mildly at Daytona last year and decided enough. My gain.

You know that building cars is time consuming; make a spot each week to get something done on yer Mini.
It might take awhile, but you'll feel better about it. Don't let it sit!

One XL-pizza that came with a free T-shirt. Justified by the fact that I'll be eating it for dinner, breakfast, lunch, and dinner while my roommate's gone.
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.

Does your roommate typically cook for you?

Psh no. I do most of it. It's just that it would totally mess up our schedule as I didn't have time to defrost food and I didn't want to cut into our supply of meat and thus end up with one steak split among us.
