    The Devil is back!!!

After a long absence from UCP, I'm very happy to report that Taz is back for good I took the time off to start a business brokerage office here in Queretaro, Mexico.

As some of you know, I wanted to get financing for a tortilla factory here, but could never find an honest business broker to help me with the task. So I started my own company. Business has been very good to say the least. We just got a huge contract to finance a real estate development project. If things go well...I'll let you guys know in time.

I couln't get a loan for a new car from a bank since my company is so new. I was bummed out about that. I was gonna get either a 2006 Renault Clio Sport or a SEAT Ibiza Cupra. Instaid I got a 2001 VW Pointer GTI.

    2.0 Liter
    115 HP
    5 Speed Manual
    4 Wheel disk brakes (ABS)

Here are some pics, I'll post the Egg Nog Pics tomorrow. I also got a new PC at home. An HP Pentium 4, 2 GB RAM, two HD's (200 GB + 120 GB). Posting pics of that too.

To all my friends on UCP, I'm sorry I didn't keep in tounch. Aside from the biz. I had a lot of personal issues to deal with and combined with work, it didn't leave me time to e-mail. Needless to say I missed you all.

Anyway, Taz is back on duty. So be good kiddies, I'm taking my moderating duties as serious as ever, muahahaha.

Congrats on the business. Mind sending me some tortillas on the house? lol j/k.

Don't worry about the car. If the business becomes very successful, you should be able to afford a new car in no time.

Do you know what the Pointer is based upon? I've never seen it's kind before.

Not sure what platform it's based on to be honest. It took the place of the VW bug in the market here. I know that the Pointer is sold only in Mexico and Brasil. It's built exclusively in Brasil for both markets.

The GTI is quick considering it's market niche. The engine is quite rev happy and pulls very stongly from 2,500 rpm to the redline (6,500 rpm).

I've done some research and I think it's a VW Gol badge Engineered.

Note ; Gol is not misspelt.

Sounds like a fairly cool ride, actually - South American Chic.

I think that's what they call the Pointer in Brasil...the Gol. And you're right, it0s not misspelt, Gol means GOAL in both Spanish and Portuguese. Figures the Brasilians would name it that. They are the current World Cup Champs

It's not what I wanted but it's really fun to drive. And it's very agile. I zip through town with no problems.

MKII Polo. It has the same shape but some new interiors and an engine that only makes sense at an american country! 2.0 with 115bhp! That must be a very quick and torquey car.
Nice to see you come back. Nice to know your business is doing well too!
Money can't buy you friends, but you do get a better class of enemy.
