you are not alone out there ! NFS 1 still creates a lot of fun for me, while Carbon and all the others never keep me interested for longer than 30 minutes...

I guess Test Drive has taken over this style of game.

For me the NFS series ended at Hot Pursuit 2. Although I still ended up buying the first underground and most wanted.

Yep. Many people wanted that high-speed supercar street racing with realism and not having to rice to the max to get to the top. TDU does a very good job at it with free roam on top. Unbeatable.

Sucks that EA have to focus on graphics to get people to buy their NFS games. Though it's kinda fun to rice up cars irrelevantly and talk smack into the mic like a ricer online, more comedy than racing.

NFS hasnt been like that since Underground 2. Most Wanted and Carbon can be finished with stock bodied cars.

Well, someone DOES buy these games if they keep making this tuning stuff. Though I agree that old-school NFS was more fun. Partly those made me car enthusiast.

Kids like my twelve year old nephew are mad about them. You should have seen him cheer and bounce through the house when I gave him a copy of NFS carbon. Carbon was running within 15 minutes, with him completely abandoning his own birthday cake
